East Side Business Center

The Samuel W. Williams, Jr., Business Center was created to provide a place for small businesses to get started and to flourish. There are 35,800 square feet in the Center, of wich about 26,500 square feet is available for rent. Most of the building is finished for commercial use and the remainder is unfinished for industrial or light manufacturing ventures. Each tenant space is totally isolated from the others and opens on a central corridor running through the building. Most of the companies in the building produce goods or provide services to wider geographic ares that the immediate Central New York area.

The Business Center is divided into an older West Wing which was opened in 1986 and a newer East Wing which opened in 1990.

In February 2008, Housing Visions Unlimited, Inc. purchased the property and renamed it the East Side Business Center. Housing Visions plans to continue operating the center as a business incubator to benefit small businesses and to allow Housing Visions a base from which to serve the neighborhood. Housing Visions employs about 60 people and is the largest tenant in the building.
